An unbeaten half-century comes to an end

After years of faithful service, our ancient scorebox has scored its last. The box, which has sat in the corner of the Green for at least 50 years, has been patched up, repainted, and the numbers replaced regularly but the time has come for the box to retire. It needed a new roof, the floor needed to be replaced and the front signage was damaged beyond repair. So the club agreed it was time to declare unbeaten on 50*.

We have a planning application being considered for its replacement - all support gratefully received! The new electronic scoreboard will be part of a suite of improvements funded by a civic pride grant from the London Borough of Merton. Watch this space for more on those improvements...
