Mitcham Cricket Club has a growing girls’ section. We are looking for more girls to join and we have more ways than ever to get involved. All our training is delivered by ECB qualified coaches with up-to-date training and DBS checks.

If you’re just starting out then All Stars or Dynamos may be perfect for you. These courses are suitable for all skill levels, helping your child begin a lifelong love of physical activity and cricket, while making friends in a safe and enjoyable environment.

All Stars cricket provides non-stop fun for 5-8 year-olds with a series of warm-ups, games and activities that change every week.

Dynamos is aimed at 8-11 year olds and includes focus on a different skill each week followed by a fast-paced 60-ball countdown cricket match.

If you want to develop your cricket then consider our main junior training and girls’ team.

Junior training is our session for ages around 8 and upwards which runs from late April through to the end of August. To join in with junior training you need to become a member of the club (discounted for those who have paid for All Stars or Dynamos). This year, in response to feedback from our girls, we will be working with them as a separate group for at least some of each session with some of the session mixed.

Under 11s SMASH IT league
This year we have our first ever girls team competing in the Surrey Junior Cricket Championship. SMASH IT is 8-aside and played with softball, 16 overs per innings. Girls in years 4-6 will be eligible for selection.
