Loss to Beddington but performance 3x better

The under 12s lost to Beddington last evening, for the second time this season. But their score of 102-1, chasing 150, compares with 32 all out in that first encounter - a massive improvement in a few short weeks.

Batting first, Beddington's 150 was a big total, with contributions of 31 (ret) from Gabriel, 24 from Arun and 21 from Alfie G. Congratulations to Abiram who took his first wicket for Mitcham, and Reuven with a wicket from his first ball; and to Ahmed in his home debut who only conceded 6 runs off his over, and could have been bowled more. And it was good to see the sharing of effort with 9 players bowling.

Mitcham got off to a slow start in their reply, but Sahat followed up his match-winning performance at Bank with an unbeaten 30 (retired). Yosef (6 not out) took singles to get Ayaan on strike - who finished 22 not out, including 3 fours and a six. The reply never looked in sight of a win, but is further demonstration that the team is becoming competitive.
